A Rare Jones Prank Gone Wrong!!

As you all know I am apart of an uprising company called Rare Jones Productions...(S/O to AOI and DOL) We usually play pranks on each other...well if more of Johnny and Domo, me catching all the action on film! The whole time Johnny and Domo have been going at it, none of the pranks have seemed to go as planned. This is an old prank but I think this is by far the worst attempt ever. This one literally had Blood, Sweat and Tears in it...plus a little bit of singing and dancing. Yeah we're random. But anyway take a gander!

Now here's where everything went wrong not I'm about to break down all possible explanations on how Domo could've possibly figure us out.

Hypothesis Number 1: I got there maybe ten minutes before we filmed this, when I got there Carlin was blasting random songs from the Isley Brothers which sparked a live concert between the three of us (Myself, Carlin & Johnny). Carlin and I are known for remixing songs and singing extremely loud. Domo possibly could've heard us singing.

Hypothesis Number 2: The laughter amongst the three us as we walked to the door could've messed us up! We attempted this like 3 times but I only filmed the last one. During those 3 times Domo had time to prepare

Hypothesis Number 3: The random silence between the singing and laughing could've gave us way.

Either way things went wrong and we got murdered!

It's a couple more days until 2011, and few months before graduation. I have a lot of prospect and ideas but I have no idea what I want to do after graduation. There's the news thing, there's film, and there's marketing and public relations (IMO, I suck at it). But I don't know what I want to do. I have a few homeboys who want to break into the acting/modeling business and I played around with the thought of becoming their managers but I have no earthly idea on how to do that. It bothers me a lot and damn near scares the shit out of me. I know this is random but I wanted to vent for a bit. My biggest fear is being broke...I'm living that lifestyle now and I've been in situations when me and the fam didn't have anything and I don't want to go back to that again. I think that's why it scares me so damn bad and it's probably why I've learn so many trades in the last couple of years. IDK man maybe it's just me over thinking things again but I can't help it. It happens at times. Anyway thanks for reading or whatever.

Guide to Sneaking in Very Important Places

Bit by bit and I mean bit, I like to share a piece of my swindle. Now most of the places people see in me during event and places, 9 times out of 10...I'm not supposed to be there. Being a journalist can go a looooooooong way sometimes, but anyway here it is. BTW S/O to #TEAMJOMC

1. Buy a video camera- And not just any camera, it's gotta be a real official one. You might not use it but at least it'll get you through the door. No one will ever question you on where you're going if anything they'll ask what your filming. Make up something and make sure it sounds real legit.

2. Get a media pass- This only comes into play if the camera trick doesn't work. Someone has to know somebody who knows how to photoshop. So get that photoshopping friend to hook you up. Just make sure MEDIA PASS is huge. Now all you gotta do is flash, say PRESS and keep it moving.

3. Look like you belong!!!-Now once your in the door, this is the most important rule ever. Looking scared or lost is like the Number 1 sign for official, they'll automatically know you don't belong and then your ass get the boot! Even if you are lost, look confident and eventually you'll find your way.

Now I know by now you are probably like Rob what the hell are you talking about? But this works, me and the crew have been everywhere. Just trust me you'll be fine. Now keep reading!

4. Have a smart phone- Some people suck with hiding their facial emotions. The phone comes into play, don't fake like you are on the phone. Txt, BBM or whatever it is. That way it looks like you are doing something very important and you don't have to worry about eye contact, unless you get all giddy and grin like a dumbass. It also causes you to walk faster, like you're own mission. And who's going to question anybody who's on a mission.

5. Find an Ally- Now it's bad enough you are in here illegally, now to insure that you don't get kicked out, find someone you know or get cool with someone real quick, so you'll have someone to vouch for you or at least get them to get you a wrist band or whatever you need to keep you back there.

Now if you follow these five easy steps, you'll be fine. Don't believe me?? Ask my friends or that couple who ate dinner at the President Ball jawn. My only advice to you is to network like crazy, since you went through all of that trouble you might as well get something out of it.

Creating A Masterpiece: Euphoria

Last weekend I debuted my web series, Euphoria. It takes place in a fictional small town called Knightdale, NC. It revolves around three families, the Myricks, the Blakes, and the Lockes and a construction company. It's a cast of 14 who I feel made the cut and fit the personalities that I had for my characters. All three families and characters are named after some of my very close friends. i.e. Carlin Myrick and Taylor Blake. AND NO, the story lines aren't about them, it's bad enough I stole their personalities and names (LMAO LLS). Writing the first two episode were almost damn suicidal. I struggled with completing a storylines for everyone. I rewrote episode, I swear 10 tens. I read over them and I was like who the hell would read this?!? So after another 6 tries, I finally came up with something. And now to you pleasurable enjoyment...Euphoria! At first I didn't want start the show off with a rivalry between Nicole and Grace. I actually wanted to the first cat fight to be between Roxanne and Nicole but every plot brought Nicole back at odds with Grace so I said what the hell! Eventually Nicole and Roxanne will have their showdown...so stick with us..it'll come.

Cancelling Forever & A Day

First I would like to take the time out and apologize to my friends and readers. I suddenly discontinued Forever and A Day and left a whole lot of questions unanswered. Being that I wanted to start my blog back up and explain the cancellation of F&AD, I figured I'll kill two birds with one stone. Pretty cool thinking huh? #fistpump Let me start by saying that F&AD is no cancelled...I'll say it put on hold until further. I used cancelled due to lack of words #RobShrug. When I originally started writing Forever and A Day, I wanted it to be popular so I overlooked the love I had for it. Going into Season 2, I begin to put the love of writing over the popularity and I realized that I had a growing talent. So I continued into it, be Season 3 I realized that F&AD wasn't giving me life, I looked at all of F&AD's sister's sites and I realized they all brought something different to the table which made me take a look at F&AD. Yes it brought something to the table but I honestly needed something more. To sum it all up, I grew bored with F&AD and need something more...I think I've found that with Euphoria. In time I'll probably come back to Forever & A Day...I still think my cast shits on everyone else's lmao!

A Random Rainy Day

Aight people, so today my day has been going pretty good. Well at least better than yesterday, this morning me and the roommate (Lavonte) got up round 6 this morning went to the gym. I ran eight laps and walked six laps..i have to admit it killed me. I'm talking heavy breathing, wild gasping, tear dropping pain in the chest lol. But I'm proud of myself I made it through and I'm going to do it tomorrow folks. Shouts outs to the roommates (Lavonte and Moe). So anyway moving right along, so I hit Micky Deez for a light breakfast to go along with my calm juice (Green Tea and Cinnamon). So as I'm walking back to my car, this whino comes up to me with a brown folder (the business type like jants) and says
"Excuse me sir, I just came from the courthouse to get my food stamps, but they don't kick in till next week."

Now let's stop right here,! First it's was like 8:30 in the morning and the courthouse doesn't till 9am if I'm not mistaken??? Then don't you get stamps from Social Services??

Back to the parking lot, then I look at him and smh then I say,
" Sir I don't have any change, sorry."
Then this dude replies,
"That's why ya damn tye don't match!"
So I walked off cool, didn't phase but then I was like damn I worked kinda hard trying to pick out that tye. The tye did match though but I was like damn that hurt. So anyway that's my day so far...hopefully I won't have anymore random encounters.

I know everyone caught the MTV Awards (a banger), so it's not secret that Kanye West ruined Taylor Swift's moment. Honestly, I don't see why everyone is suprised it's typical Kanye. Now on to Serena Williams, she had a match a while back and didn't do to good. She fired off at the ref for making a bad call. You know and I know that referees make bad calls at times...and some can be intentionally (not saying she did but just making a point), so I would've blown up to. How many players hasn't blown up over a bad call...it's human nature!!! I was scared for the official though, Serena is a beast! I hope she continues to do her thing though and recover from that bad game.

So today I was actually sat down and listened to The Game's track that dissed Jay-Z.
The Game made this track to Jay-Z because Hov threatened to boycott (including Beyonce) the BET Award if Chris Brown performed. Apparently Jay-Z and like 2.3 other people are still upset about Chris Brown and Rhianna...I'm not condoning Chris Brown but he and Rhianna are cool, what's the point of everybody else being mad or least trying to stir something...ok I'm getting way off topic here, back to the track itself

Pretty okay track in my opinion but that thing that go me was at the end, The Game said Jay-Z and got into a fight with Kanye West backstage at a concert. Interesting stuff right? So I decided to hit the good media take out and see what's up. Apparently the two were at a concert in the UK...Kanye wanted to close the show and bring Jay-Z out as well, but Hov had other plans instead...he wanted to close the himself...without DOLO!! The two got into a screaming match and Jay-Z left without performing.

In my opinion my man Hov is smelling himself a bit too much, I mean he has the money and the chick but still... I'll leave it at that, just hopes he comes down off his high horse pretty soon. That's still my boy though.

Since the beginning of the year, I've been writing a series called Forever & A Day (www.foreverdandday.com). I use it as a way to enhance my writing skills and it's been a really big help. A few months ago I discovered that I wasn't the only person who wrote a online series either. In fact they're are few networks out there also, but the one that grabbed my attention was the Absolute Production Network. (www.oswmagazine.com)

The Absolute Production Network has a few more series like mine with excellent writers who give great feedback and plenty good advice. This week the AP Network is celebratin 5 years of operation. Pretty good stuff I have to say, the this network has really came a long way since I joined and I'm glad to say I'm apart of it. Visit it and they're plenty of good reads!!!!

A British magazine asked Long how she felt about Beyonce' acting and she responded, "It’s about, ‘How much box office revenue will this person generate?’ When you see certain people - we won’t name names - they just don’t have the skill, and no one in their team has said, ‘You need acting classes'. "If you’re a singer not an actress, you should sing. If you’re a rapper, you should rap. If you take time to develop your craft, God bless you.

Now many people took this as a shot at Beyonce but I beg the differ and I feel where she's coming from. She defending her job, think about if some random person who had no experience came in and took your job. Be pretty pissed right? I don't knock a person for trying to make money but if you don't know what you're doing (no shot at Beyonce or anyone else) you should stick to what you know best and let others who do...do their thing.

I'll admit...I hit my first mid-life crisis. Decisions...Decisions...Decisions!
After high school I made a half ass plan for my life. * Note I said "half ass"* In a bout three years...meaning now that plan fell through.

My dream was to become a News Director and help inform people on the issues going on in the world and at least attempt to make it a better place.

The first blow to knock down my plan was my Newswriting professor Dr. Valerie Nieman. She's a very great creative writer and have picked a few awards. She tapped into something that wanted me to explore the world of writing. Crazy, right? But yeah it's true I started writing small short stories and continued writing fake news articles, building my craft.

The second and final blow was my internship this summer at WXII in Winston Salem, great people and I gain a massive amount of experience. I had no idea how to report or produce a good news cast so that put me a head of the game. It also made me realize news was something I didn't want to go into. (Still a back up plan though.)

So up until June I had it all planned out until I turned 21 and realized I wanted more out of life, but I wanted to play a huge role in people lives. I'm no activist or anything like that but I would like to inspire people, so why not write...So that's what I'm going to do.

I finally decided my game plan after college, I want to be a Televison Executive Producer and Writer. TV is the best way to influence people...hence the word *Swag & people wanting to be Gucci* :( So the midlife crisis is over people I got it together and expect more from me.

Now, studies show that illegal immigrants are having more kids. So, should we make thoses kids immigrants now??? Personally I don't think so. I'm not going to knock a parent for wanting their child to have a better life. Leave a comment tell me what you think.

If I had a dollar for everytime someone used the word "swag" or "swagger" Bill Gates wouldn't have shyt on me. lol This is a word that shouldn't been invented. Why was this word invented? To me "swag" lack intellgence, would you go on an interview and tell your employer you have "swag"? Not Even!!! Do you know the real meaning of swag is an ornamental drapery or curtain draped in a curve between two points. (don't believe me??? Dictionary.com) They're more meanings to this word but none of them had nothing to do with character. So what the hell are people really saying?? Come on America we have to do better!!! What if we started saying....

"The Saturday Night guys" are hilarilous man. For those who don't know who I'm talking about they're the guys who made the song "I'm On A Boat." I actually took the time out to listen to some of their other tracks. They're crazy man, I'm not saying they can spit or anything but damn if you won't be laughing your ass off. They're real talented fellas and with some tight ass beats. I suggest everyone check them out, it's a good laugh and who doesn't need those.

Popularity vs. The Issues (NC A&T ST. Student Election)

Students at North Carolina A &T State University voiced their opinions on how popularity influences the Student Government Elections. The saying, "It's Not What You Know It's Who You Know." is has taking a whole know concept in life. In the last few years many believe that the elections have been decided strictly on the popularity of the candidate and not by what really matters...who can best serve the needs of the student. I somewhat agree with this theory but in the same time I feel the underdog or whatever you wanna call it can use popularity to his/her advantage. In some situations most people will vote for the person he/she remembers.

This year I'll have to say was the most interesting election. We had two key players from the Class of 2010 wanting to be our president for the next school year, plus I actually took the time out to pay attention to the issues and become active (you should too!!!)

It's no secret that the two candidates Julian Love & Syene Jasmine (both good friends of mine) were not the best of friends but the two stood for some of the similar things. I'm glad they both kept it peaceful though a couple of time during those debates I wasn't too sure lol.

I felt both of them worked hard these last few days on letting everyone know about the issues. I found out so much about A&T in the last few days lol! The both of you came hard too, Syene I never met any one who hustles like you and the "Love" Effect was pretty catchy, I'm still mad I didn't get my green shirt...but that's a whole nother story lmao.

Congrats to Syene Jasmine for winning in the end, I felt like whoever won our school was going to be in good hands. (lol the Jasmine Administration but thing again the Love Administration is funny too when you think about it, to be honest most of A&T presidents has had some interesting last names...what about the Hill Administration???lol (my last name for those who didn't know)).

But anyway Congrats to all of the other winners who ran for an SGA office, also.

Personally I feel popularity still won this election but it was in favor of the issues. Hopefully I hope these two can still work together to make NC A&T a better place. Syene make us proud man.

Alright I'm going in!!! I guess you all are wondering who this guy is that's writing all of this random stuff and why is he doing this? So for starters, My name is Rob last name Hill. I'm from Kinston/Grifton NC and I'm junior at North Carolina A&T. Just to warn to you guys I got a split personality and he name is Fydel. He tends to come out sometime, but not often. (Anger Managament goes along way j/K lol). I just want all my readers to know that all my comments are not ment to offend anyone.
